Based in Los Angeles, Rathbun Sargent Insurance and Financial Services helps organizations of 2 to 100 employees get the most appropriate, cost-effective benefits for their needs, no matter how complex. Founded in 2007, we service clients spanning diverse industries, such as manufacturing, apparel, medical, legal and financial services.

Whether you have a startup business or a well-established operation, we search the market for options and simplify the process so that your company isn’t unnecessarily taxed – administratively or financially.

Unlike many brokers working for larger enterprises, we are independent and focused on what’s best for you, and don’t leave you hanging as soon as your benefit plans are in place.

Chauthy Pham-Rathbun

A problem solver, hand-holder and go-to resource for her clients, Chauthy finds and implements cost-effective, creative insurance solutions and provides on-going employee onboarding, administrative and crisis management support throughout the year, so you can focus on running your business. Chauthy simplifies the process of starting up or transitioning your organization to new benefit or retirement plans.

Prior to co-founding Rathbun Sargent, Chauthy spent 10 years as an advisor with MassMutual where she worked with small businesses in the areas of aviation, manufacturing, franchising, and non-profits. She expanded MassMutual’s reach into to the local banking community in Los Angeles and Orange Counties to address and implement risk reduction programs for their clients.

Chauthy believes in having a healthy work-life balance. She enjoys the outdoors, getting involved in the community and spending time with her husband and two kids.

Mark Sargent

Partner

Mark works tirelessly to source creative benefits solutions that help you control costs while getting the right coverage. Mark simplifies the process of starting up or transitioning your organization to new benefits or retirement plans.

Passionate about adding value, Mark’s job doesn’t end after open enrollment. He onboards new employees throughout the year. Mark takes ownership of problems for his clients and their employees, going to bat for them. He tenaciously pursues solutions and takes the worry away, so your organization can focus on your business. Prior to founding Rathbun Sargent, Mark was an agent for MassMutual Financial Group and Prudential Financial.

Mark is an avid endurance cyclist and music collector, with a huge passion for the blues.
